Why do I need to verify my account and how can I do it?
Why account verification is required
At NetBet, we adhere to industry standards to operate in compliance with regulations and to provide a transparent and secure service. Verification may be required to ensure:
- Prevention of underage gambling
- Protection of vulnerable customers
- Prevention of gambling-related crime
This is a mandatory requirement under the UK Gambling Commission licensing conditions.
Know Your Customer (KYC) process
We aim to make the verification process smooth. Most accounts are automatically checked at registration for date of birth and address. If the automatic check passes, you won’t need to submit documents. Verification may be required if:
- Your account is registered to a new address but your debit card is linked to a previous address
- You are not registered on the electoral roll
- You do not have any credit files
In such cases, we will ask you to provide documents to verify your account.
How to submit verification documents
Documents can be uploaded quickly via the My Account section:
- Log in to NetBet
- Click on the My Account tab (top-right of homepage)
- Select Upload documents (4th option in the menu)
- Click Choose File and select the file from your device
- Click Send
You will receive an email or message in your NetBet Inbox when documents are needed. To avoid missing emails, add uk-support@netbet.co.uk to your safe sender list.
